Frequently Asked Questions

Is a vow renewal just like a wedding?

In our case, yes! For the few years we were engaged, we went back and forth about what we wanted out of our big day— do we elope? Do we invite everyone we know? Should it be in a backyard? At the beach? In a courthouse? Well, on August 29, 2024, we were married privately in our own home. It was the happiest day of our lives, but from that day on, we knew we not only wanted to have our big celebration surrounded by the people we love most, but that we would continue the tradition of hosting anniversary parties for years to come.

Our vow renewal will function almost identically to a wedding day. There will be a vow renewal ceremony to kick off the evening, dinner and drinks, along with plenty of speeches, and dancing to carry us through the night.

We thank you for appreciating our unique way of doing things as we celebrate our first year married! Let’s hope our 50th anniversary party is just as fun!

If I’m traveling, where should I stay?

The great thing about Atlanta is that there’s never a shortage of hotels, inns, Airbnbs, and VRBOs. When looking for a place to stay, keep in mind that our venue (The Trolley Barn - 963 Edgewood Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307) is located in the historic Inman Park, otherwise known as Atlanta’s first suburb! There are hundreds of vacation rentals in and around Atlanta. If you have any questions about the location you’re thinking about staying in, please reach out, and we will happily point you in the right direction!

Below is a list of recommended hotels in the area:

What is the attire?

We ask that our guests wear cocktail attire and dancing shoes!

Are children invited?

Our event will be adults only. This, by far, was the hardest decision we had to make during the planning process. We love all of the incredible kids in our lives, but this event will be taking place late into the night, in a historic building, with plenty of alcohol being served. Please let them know that we love them very much and can’t wait to celebrate with them when they’re older!

Where do I park and what does it cost?

The Trolley Barn has 10 on-site spaces on the side of the building and two handicap spaces at the main entrance. An additional 52 off-street spaces are available at two lots, one directly across the street from the Barn, and the other a half of a block from the Barn. Parking is also available on both sides of Edgewood Avenue. There is no charge for parking!

With all of this being said, we do HIGHLY RECOMMEND using rideshare and carpooling!

If I have dietary restrictions, what should I do?

Kasey and Stephen are no strangers to food allergies! On your RSVP, please indicate that you have a dietary restriction, and we will coordinate with our caterer to make sure you have a safe meal to eat. If you have any further questions, revisit our website in August to review the official menu for the event.
